D. Lott – Ready To Die feat. D. Crockett & Andy Lee song review

Artist: D. Lott feat. D. Crockett & Andy Lee

Song: Ready To Die (YouTube)

D. Lott is out of Gary, IN along with D. Crockett and Andy Lee. D. Lott is also a very talented worship leader for his home church. He is part of the J330 Crew and will be performing with D. Crockett and Andy Lee for D. Crockett’s album release concert on July 15th. Follow this link for more info album release concert.

Onto the song. Ready To Die starts off with a short skit. It isn’t the typical random skit that shows up in music videos. This one has a meaning behind it that does a great job tying into the song. The clear message enhances D. Lott’s single while providing a unique experience.

This hook had me amped up and “Ready To Die”. No joke! Starts off with some smooth singing mixed with an edgier couple bars by D. Crockett. That part added some impact and excitement to the hook. I would be excited to see this one live!

D. Lott took the first verse and he took it by the reigns. Lott has one of a kind voice (all three artists are very unique). He definitely takes this Christian rap game to a different level with this verse. Some nice wordplay mixed with a natural flow.

Andy Lee steps up to his verse aiming to knock it out of the park. Well…he does just that! I’m diggin’ his metaphors that come, again, with a natural flow. Throw in a couple of punchlines and this verse is “notorious ya dig?”.

This is one of the better songs that I’ve reviewed. I can easily listen to this song over and over. The playback value is most definitely there. Here’s the video again so you don’t have to scroll to the top. Ready To Die ⬅️ I would recommend watching it.

The Bible says it is appointed for man to die once and then face judgement. Christ gives us an opportunity to stand before the judge (God) clean and guilt free. It is up to us to make that decision to follow him in spirit and in truth.
